Our Double Dutch predictions for this weekend No 6

24 Dec

It’s Christmas and with that comes the annual “Double Week” where everybody plays twice. What a nightmare! How do you keep up with 20 games over the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th? Not easy. This is of course in addition to the problems that still continue due to the heavy snow fall.

Currently, the one game that I advise avoiding is Blackpool vs Liverpool- As Blackpool are new to the Premiership they are the only team without under-pitch heating and this tends to make me want to ignore it all together – just in case.

I’m sure you’ll remember that last week we managed to save our stake by waiting until the last minute before placing our bets and we moved away from it due to the eather. My intention this week is t place this post now and then another on the 27th intime for the second round of games.

The first game come as a little surprise but I think that Fulham should do well at the Cottage against West Ham. In previous seasons this would have been a much more interesting fixture but West Ham have been woeful this season. Mark Hughes men are experts at getting a draw but I think that the return of Dembele should be enough to give them a win over a team who falls apart the second they leave their ground. You have to remember that in all but one season of the premiership the team who is bottom at Christmas is relegated and this well known statistic must way heavy on their mind. They’re currently best priced at 2 with Totesport (click here). I personally don’t think that the price of 1.53 on West Ham’s relegation is particularly generous although I realy can’t see how they’re going to dig themselves out of the mess their in. May be 1.44 on Avram Grant being the next manager to leave? It would appear that the borrowed time he’s living on is about at breaking point.

My second thoughts go to the Spurs / Aston Vila match and this should really be an interesting game. The strange thing to notice when placing a bet is that the odds offered on an event happening don’t represent the true odds of it happening – they control the money that’s placed on the event. You can imagine that the odds offered on Spurs to win will be lower on a bookmaker on Tottenham high road than in Birmingham as he’s far more likely to get a large number of Spurs related bets. I think that if there was ever a game that Spurs have to win then this is it. They currently are holding in 5th but they’ll be aware that to break the top four they need to start pushing now. Aston Villa can forget European Football now I think, they haven’t got the squad and their position in 15 cements that. They’ve done well at home but with the return of Van Der Vaart and all players having had an extra days rest – Spurs should seal this although I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a close 2-1. They are currently best priced with Stan James at 2.4 (Click Here).

Our stake is £26.16 again and tha’s divided into £11.57 on Fulham (2), £9.64 on Spurs (2.4) and £4.95 on the double (4.68). This gives a total possible return of £69.43.

Happy Gambling!

Our Double Dutch Prediction for this weekend No 5

17 Dec

Its that time again and we’re sure that you’re happy that we returned to winning ways last week with all three of our bets coming off. This has rejuvinated our balance to £261.57 giving us a new stake this week of £26.16.

Now, you may be aware of the odd coin flip concept when it comes to value. If you are being paid evens to chose either heads or tails then you’re getting paid at exactly the correct odds of flipping a head or a tail. If you were offered over evens you’d be on to a good thing, less than evens and you’re on to a loser. The reason I bring this up is because we’ve had several bets recently based on the “Both teams to score” option and the coin flip concept beautifully shows why we wont get a huge amount of money from this. There’s are only two options – both teams score or they don’t which means that the bookmakers aren’t going to offer us amazing odds. Look at Spurs vs Blackpool this weekend – two teams that don’t know how to defend but attack in earnest. The odds for both teams to score? 1.57 at best with Stan James (Click here). This isn’t exactly going to make us very rich!

The other bets we have been using are the straight win bet but the stronger the win, the less change you’re going to get over evens as your odds?

Of course, the further you look for higher priced winners, the more chance you’re going to have a lower winning percentage. So I leave it open to you all. I can continue as I have or try to search out larger odds for you but risk a lower winning percentage. Please leave your comments below so I’ll know where you want me.

Both of our bets this weekend are backing home teams. What’s more, both teams can be found at exactly the same price if you look hard enough, namely 1.83.

Our first is Blackburn who sensationally axed Sam Allerdyce this week. What happens when a team loses their manager? It’s hard to tell but you can guarantee that things don’t stay the same. Massive losing runs or winning runs can materialise but I think that Blackburn have been pretty classy this season. If you remove the 7-1 thrashing by Manchester United they’ve had some good games and good results and everyone knows that in West Ham they couldn’t have assked for a better team to face post big Sam. 1.83 is available in many places, try Stan James (click here).

The second game is in my mind a brilliant match up, West Brom vs Wolves. With west Brom you have a good attacking squad with the likes of Odemwingie against a Wolves team who have managed to win none, draw one and lose seven times away from home. 1.8 with BlueSQ is just too large (click here)

The double pays 3.29 with Stan James (click here) and that’s where we’ll be placing our money. The amounts are £10.17, £10.34 and £5.66 respectively which would give us a maximum return of £55.82.

We’re sorry that this post is a little shorter than normal – usual services will resume next week!

9 Dec

Damn it!!!! Things were going so well that it’s such a shame when the inevitable happens. You see, any gambler worth his salt knows that you can’t win all the time, in fact, if you can win for half of it then you’re doing well. We came crashing down from a 100% winning run to a 66% winning run in one fail swoop but that is, as they say, life. On the plus side – we certainly didn’t lose any of our money!

It will be interesting as time goes on to see what sort of success rate we can muster so that we can start to determine some sort of value pattern for ourselves. As I’m sure you’re aware from our other posts, if you get 50% right and you always bet at odds over evens then you’ll be a winner in the long term.

So what are we up to this week? Well it’s a very, very strange week in the Premiership with no real stand out games. At first glance I would suggest Man City to beat West Ham but Tevez has scored in 8 out of 9 of their winning games so what’s going to happen this week with him suspended? Liverpool beat Aston Villa quite convincingly and they’ll have Gerrard back from injury but I’m not sure I trust Roy Hodgson yet! The remaining games all look wide open including the top four playing each other. Where do you look?

I’m inclined to believe that in weeks like this the first place to look is to the classiest teams in the league and we really need go no further than Man Utd. Yes, they maybe second to Arsenal’s first but if anyone knows how to act in a big game then it’s them. Let’s look further at their record, they’re unbeaten. Of course, they have managed to rack up 7 draws but 86% of those have been away from home. Admittedly the “Ginger Pele” Scholes is out injured but he’s about the only member of the first team that is with Rio due back from injury and Arsenal are still missing their talismanic Fabregas (although Nasri is doing a great job in his stead). I can’t help but think that 2.0 with Skybet (click here) is too long. There not faultless in defence though (either team) so the 1.75 about both teams to score with BlueSq (click here) also looks good.

The second part of this weeks bet comes in the form of Bolton vs Blackburn which has Goals written all over it. Bolton’s games since the beginning of November at home have been 2 goals against Blackpool, 5 goals against Newcastle, 4 goals against Tottenham – that’s a fair few! What about Blackburn away? 1 goal against Man Utd, 2 goals against Tottenham, 2 goals against Newcastle. This automatically makes me consider two different markets – both teams to score and over 2.5 goals. You can get 1.8 with Blue Sq (click here) for both to score and 1.91 with Victor Chandler (click here) to get over 2.5 goals. I personally want to go with the 1.8 with Blue Sq as I’d ant to see a better return that 15% for going the extra mile and predicting a certain amount of goals.

So what are the final selections? No 1 , Both Bolton and Blackburn to score and No 2, Manchester Utd to win. The best double price we can find is 3.6 on the double with Blue Sq (click here). Our stake this week is £23.25 with the amounts being staked as £9.69, £8.72 and £4.84 repectively. This will give us a potential return of £52.31.

As with last week we’re going to give you our selections for a “To score at anytime” Lucky 15. Last week was a bit of a nightmare with games postponed and people taking paternity leave! This week we think that the stand out names in the hat should be Cahill @ 1.91, balotelli @ 2.38, Torres @ 2.3 and K Jones @ 2.1 bets priced with Coral (click here).

Look forward to hearing from you all with how you got on this week oh and before we forget, Bet365 and Victor Chandler, why do you still have Carlos Tevez as anytime goalscorer when he’s suspended?

A more personal service……

7 Dec

Hi everyone,

I don’t know if you’re all aware by now but there’s a really cool website that’s just come along called www.fiverr.com. It basically allows anyone to offer just about anything for $5 (about £3.5).

This gave us an idea for our www.imawinner.co.uk site – how’s about we offer a trial version of our tipping serviecs for just £3.50? You can’t really say fairer than that and lets be honest, after the amount of winners this blog has tipped so far then you’d be mad not to get on and have a go! The links are here, here and here.

We look forward to helping you to win more!

Our Double Dutch predictions for this weekend No 3

2 Dec

So here we are with a 100% record for our first two weeks. We’ve taken a very sensible approach so far and it’s paid dividends and that’s exactly what we’re going to be doing this weekend. You’ll probably be aware that the bank balance is now £258.35 which gives us a total stake of £25.84. It’s very satisfying to know that we are officially playing with the bookmakers money now!

The original intention of this feature was to give you bets from allsorts of markets but the current form of our selections in the “To win to nil” and the “both teams to score” market makes me more inclined to stay in this format.

With the exception of the Chelsea game I find it hard to pick a proper shut-out from this weeks games so both of our selections are “Both teams to score”. The first is Man City vs Bolton. Bolton are away and will have a lot to do at Eastlands – I would say too much even in their current form – but they’re going to get a goal at least – I’d say 2-1. The second fixture is Sunderland vs. West Ham which has goals written all over it especially off the back of West Ham dumping Man Utd out of the Carling Cup midweek.

The best odds we can find for this is with Skybet (click here to place it) they’re offering 2.1 and 1.91 respectively which makes a double of 4.01. With our stake of £25.84 that gives bets of £9.85, £10.83 and £5.16 respectively which gives a total potential profit of £62.06.

Once again, if you don’t have a dutching spreadsheet then by all means drop us an email at info@imawinner.co.uk and we’ll send you one through, whilst you’re doing that why not look at the site itself – www.imawinner.co.uk.

We’re tempted to add to our weekly free tips with some other options if anyone’s interested? Our main thoughts are a Lucky 15 weekend bet based around Goalscorers. We think that you’d stand a great chane if you selected Vidic, Torres, Drogba and Nasri for this weekend. The best odds available are through Stan James (Place your bet here). Would a weekly fixture of this be of interest? email us and let us know.

Happy Gambling!

“Too late”, “Too late” you’ll cry, when the man with the bargains has passed you by……

1 Dec

That’s right, our absolutely excellent FREE competition came to an end yesterday and when we chose randomly from all of the entries the winner was…….drumroll please……..Mr Goodman from Bedfordshire.  We’ll be sending the system through to Mr Goodman this afternoon along with our selections each and every week of the system. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get some comments from Mr Goodman as the system progresses so we can let you know what you could have had! Remember, If you had started this season in 2003 and placed a bets of £1000 a year (high we know). You would have won every year and by now you would have made £270,000 profit! Of course, nothing is guaranteed but we think that this year should be an even better return as the Premier League is so close.

Unfortunately for those of you who didn’t win, the system is still available on our website (here) and don’t worry, you can use the system for as little as £17.92 per week (or less if you placed it with other players).   Just remember, the system is SPECIFICALLY for use through December, January and February and you you should win 3 times within that period. If you do want to buy it then please realise that you will probably have missed the boat if you get your hands on it mid-February!

We’ll update this Blog every week with the results of the system so you can all see what you might have won, we’ll display the returns to a standard bet of £17.92.

Last Chance Saloon!

30 Nov

That’s right, the 700-1 system competition finishes at close of business today and we’ll be informing the winner later tonight. Just email us at info@imawinner.co.uk with the name of the trainer of the 2010 Derby winner Workforce to stand a chance.

Of course, you do still have the chance to purchase the system and many have but the reduced price of £18.99 will only be around today and then it’s back to £45 (here). Of course, the system is meant to only be used for the next 12 weeks and then it’s put to bed for a year so get in now or wait for a year.

We will of course be updating the blog with the results of the system and we have some of the guys who have purchased it to confirm that the selections were listed. Hopefullly it will be another great 12 weeks!

See you all on the other side! Happy Gambling!

Our Double Dutch predictions for this weekend No 2

25 Nov

As you’ll all be aware, we got off to a flying start last weekend with three correct bets from three with a total return on investment of 260% and an increase to bankroll of 16%.

We always work on a percentage of bankroll as the best way of investing our money (see this article) and in this case we settled on 10%. In this article, based on a revised bankroll of £232 we are now betting £23.20.

Whilst last week was all about keeping clean sheets, this week is the complete polar opposites ie both teams to score.

The first selection may surprise a few of you but we feel that Chelsea vs Newcastle at St. James should be a worthwhile contender. Both teams are in the process of having major central defence issues with Chelsea shipping 4 goals to no reply in their last two league games. Of course, we all know that they can find the goal but with chumps like ferriera defending it then players like Carroll can theoretically get on the scoresheet. They are currently best backed with Skybet at 1.91.

The second teams are Arsenal vs Ason Villa at Villa Park. Arsenal should be a guarantee to score with a total of 28 scored already this season. Aston Villa aren’t quite so proficient with just 15 but they like playing the top clubs and with them knocking on the European places every year they’re going to have to give it some welly. The games trading at a perfectly acceptable 1.73 also with Skybet.

The double will of course create a total win of 3.3 so the stakes will be £8.65 on Chelsea/Newcastle, £9.55 on Arsenal/Aston Villa and £5.01 on the double. The total return for this could be £49.55.

I hope that’s enough information for everyone, we’ll update the comments after the weekend. Good luck.

Our Double Dutch predictions for this weekend No 1

19 Nov

So here’s the first of our double Dutch features – a great little bet that should give you a little bit of interest throughout the weekend.

We will be selecting bets from around the sporting world but in today’s case we’re going to be looking into Premier League Football.

Last Season there were 380 premier league games (19 x 19). Of those games, how many do you think ended up with one team winning to nil (without the opposition scoring)? The answer is a very respectable 157 games or 41%. We don’t know about you but we find that quite an interesting prospect. When we delve a little bit deeper we find, as expected that over two thirds of those games were won by the home team. This means that over the course of the season there will be approximately 28% of games that are won by the home team to no response. What really makes it interesting is the available odds. If you look at the odds of even the most mismatched game this weekend, namely Liverpool vs. West Ham, you can get odds of 2.6 on Liverpool keeping a clean sheet.

So which 3 games which three home teams will win this week to no response?

Of those available the most likely for us appear to be:

Liverpool

Man Utd

Blackpool

Of these we always believe that Cream eventually rises to the top so our selections are Liverpool @ 2.6 and Man Utd at 1.8. With the double at 4.68. This gives stakes to a £20 of £6.67, £9.63 and £3.70 respectively with a total potential win of £52.00.

As with all of our betting system we suggest a decent system of bankroll management – check here. We will start this one with a balance of £200 and a bet of 10% each week.

Looking through the different bookies, we suggest placing this with BlueSquare here.

Talking Double Dutch…

18 Nov

Hi everyone,

It’s the start of a new feature, namely “Double Dutch”! There’s a good chance by now that you’ll all be aware of what “dutching” is, if you don’t then check out our website here. If you want a spreadsheet that works it out for you then please email info@imawinner.co.uk (only available to facebook fans who have recieved the free greyhound system on www.imawinner.co.uk).

The new format works on two predictions and also a double of the two items which will basically give you two identical returns for the singles and double that return for the double? Got that? Clear as mud I know…..

Lets say that Chelsea to win is 10-1 and Workforce to win is 10-1, you could back them both with your stake and you’ll still get 5-1 if only one wins. We will be working on trying to give two winning predictions and also a double that will give you twice the return. So, in the example above you could win £100 on Chelsea, £100 on Workforce and £200 on the double.

As the series goes on I’m sure it will become evident. We will also scour the bookies to make sure that you get the best possible return on your investment. We will give all bets to a £20 stake.

The first in the series will come out tommorow so hold onto your hats and get ready!
